Shelter From the Storm ~ Buddhist Refuge Ceremony & Day Course 9:30AM - 2:00PM
Fear is present in all our lives. As long as we are afraid, we are not free. However, once we discover why we feel fear, we learn that it is baseless; there is - literally - nothing to be afraid of. We start to solve our problems by relying on Buddha as our Spiritual Teacher; on his teachings, the Dharma; and on our community of fellow practitioners, the Sangha. In this way, we establish the basis of a life that is free from all fear.

For some, Refuge Day is an opportunity to receive profound blessings and a chance to begin exploring the richness of this very special spiritual tradition. For others, Refuge Day is a turning point in their lives where they embrace Buddha's teachings and start traveling the spiritual path as a Buddhist.

Also, for those who have attended this day before, it is a chance to receive these blessings once again, and to renew their commitment to the path they have chosen.
